Out of 541 Representatives, 89.3% are Christian, 8.4% Jewish, .4% Muslim (2 Members), .4% Buddhist (2 Members), .9% Unknown (10 Members), and .6% identify by other religions.
15% of the US population identifies themselves as Non-religious/Atheist/Agonistic.
Only one member of Congress is an atheist, Pete Stark. That’s .001%.
I mean, I get it, but…COME ON HERE.
What I don’t get is the gender gap but…I can only be upset about one thing at a time.
Congress sucks.
